Responsibilities

The management team of Removal Companies Clapham has overall responsibility for health and safety and will ensure that appropriate resources, information, instruction and supervision are provided. Management will:

Assess and manage risks associated with removal work, manual handling, driving, storage and use of equipment. Put in place safe systems of work and method statements for regular activities. Provide and maintain suitable vehicles, tools and equipment. Ensure that employees receive appropriate training for their roles. Monitor health and safety performance and take corrective action where necessary.

Employees have a duty to:

Work safely and follow all safety procedures and instructions. Use equipment, tools and vehicles correctly and report any defects. Wear any personal protective equipment provided where required. Control measures will be implemented to reduce risks to an acceptable level. These may include planning access routes, using lifting equipment or additional manpower, restricting vehicle movements in tight areas, and setting clear communication procedures between team members on site.

Training and Competence
